I currently serve as Co-President, Union for Progressive Judaism. The UPJ is the roof body that resources 27 congregations, schools, youth groups and communal organisations across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, serving about one fifth of the region's affiliated Jewish community.
Until November 2019, I served as the Honorary Secretary of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry. From August 2004 to August 2008 I served the maximum term as President of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, the peak body of the NSW Jewish community. I also have held leadership positions with the Jewish Communal Appeal, the Sydney Jewish Museum and Emanuel Synagogue.
